Quick ways to identify your panel
LookPanel cover / directory card — the brand name is usually printed inside the door, on the metal frame, or on a sticker near the main breaker.
LookBreaker switch color — some obsolete brands are known for distinct switch colors (e.g. FPE Stab-Lok breakers are often red/orange). Color alone isn't definitive, but it narrows things down.
AskYour electrician or home inspection report — panel brand is often noted during a home inspection or previous electrical work.
